Pickup truck driving on a dirt road

How it works

From first call to settlement, here's what to expect, what you'll need and roughly how long each step takes.

Four steps

The process

  1. Tell us what you need

Send a quick quote or email us. We'll ask about the asset, the amount and your situation.

  2. We compare options

We look at suitable lenders and loan structures and explain the trade-offs in plain English.

  3. Apply with our help

We prepare and lodge the application and keep you posted until the lender decides.

  4. Settle and get going

Once approved, we coordinate settlement with you and the seller or supplier.

1. Quick chat or online quote

Tell us what you're buying, roughly how much you need and whether it's for personal or business use. We'll call you within one business day to talk through your options. No credit check at this stage.

2. Options and a recommendation

We compare suitable lenders and loan structures, including term, balloon and repayment frequency, and explain the trade-offs in plain English. You'll receive our credit guide and a quote for our services.

3. Application

Once you're ready, we collect your documents, prepare the application and lodge it with the lender. We'll keep you updated and handle the lender's questions.

4. Approval and settlement

When the lender approves, we coordinate the loan documents and payment to the dealer, supplier or private seller so you can take delivery.

Documents checklist

What lenders typically ask for. We'll confirm the exact list for you.

Personal applicants

  • Driver licence or passport
  • Two recent payslips, or other income evidence
  • Bank statements (often collected electronically)
  • Details of other debts and credit cards

Business and self-employed

  • ABN and business details
  • Recent BAS and/or financial statements and tax returns
  • Business bank statements
  • Low-doc options may need less. Criteria apply.

About the asset

  • Dealer or supplier invoice, or the private seller's details
  • Registration, VIN, HIN or serial number

Typical timing

Every application is different. As a guide:

  • Quote and options: usually within one business day of our first chat
  • Lender decision: depends on the lender and how complete your documents are. Having your documents ready helps the lender assess it without back-and-forth.
  • Settlement: once documents are signed and the seller's details are confirmed.

Questions

How long does approval take?

It depends on the lender, the type of finance and how complete your documents are. We'll give you a realistic timeline for your situation before you apply, and keep you updated throughout.

Does it cost anything to use Quick Asset Finance?

We'll explain any fees, and how we're paid, before you go ahead. Lenders usually pay us a commission, which is disclosed in our credit guide and quote.

Do you check my credit?

Not for a quote. When you decide to apply we'll ask for your consent, and the lender will run a credit check.

Can I apply if I'm self-employed?

Yes. Self-employed and ABN holders can apply. Low-doc options exist for some situations, and eligibility criteria apply.
